How do you order? Who does what in five steps

An order passes through five screens in the portal: the onboarding questions, the quote, payment, the timeline and the document vault. At each step we write which work sits with you, with LaunchUS, with the LaunchUS Registered Agent team, with the state or with the IRS; the screens are taken from the portal with sample data.

Have these ready before you start

You answer the questions in plain language; with these three pieces of information ready, onboarding finishes in one sitting.

  • A company name and one fallback name; the state registry decides whether a name is available.
  • Identity and contact details of the founders; you upload the identity document to the portal yourself.
  • A description of the business activity and whether you want the EIN application without an SSN.

Five steps, screen by screen

The numbers follow the order of the portal. No official filing starts from the payment screen; the state filing and the IRS submission happen in later steps, each with a named owner.

    Onboarding: you answer the questions

    The six-step wizard covers purpose, personal details, company details, the Registered Agent choice, the EIN preference and a review. The portal makes any missing field visible; we never ask for the same information twice.

    Quote: you see two lines

    The quote carries one LaunchUS service fee and the separately shown state fee. If the state fee changes, the quote is refreshed before payment; the finalised quote amount is the amount you pay.

  3. 03

    Payment: you pay the finalised quote

    You pay by card on a secure payment page. When the payment provider confirms, the portal shows the payment as confirmed; the redirect screen alone is not a confirmation.

  4. 04

    Timeline: you see who acts next

    The portal shows the formation and EIN processes as two separate tracks. Each row names the step’s status and who acts next; it promises no percentage and no date.

    Files the formation with the state; if you asked for it, prepares the SS-4 form and sends it to the IRS after your signature.

    Document vault: it fills as documents arrive

    The formation document, the EIN letter, Registered Agent documents and scanned mail are listed by category in the vault of your company. Download links are generated with an expiry; you download the documents from the portal.
