State or government fees, bank or payment provider fees, legal or tax advice. We do not hide these inside the plan; we show them separately.

How much does it cost to open an LLC in the USA?

You pay two lines: the LaunchUS plan you choose (from $549, one USD price) and the state filing fee as a separate line (sample: Wyoming $103, Delaware $110; the state may change it). From the second year, the state’s yearly fee and registered agent renewal are added. Calculate

What does a registered agent cost each year?

The first year of LaunchUS Registered Agent is included in every formation plan. From the second year, renewal is $199 per year (one USD price). The state requires a valid registered agent for as long as the LLC exists. LaunchUS Registered Agent service

What do Wyoming and Delaware charge every year?

The state’s yearly fee is not part of the LaunchUS price; it is paid to the state. The rules the states publish:

Address and mail services

The LaunchUS Registered Agent address is for official correspondence and covers 10 letters a year; it is not used as a bank, payment-provider or marketplace address. If your business needs its own suite address, you can add one of the annual address services.

LaunchUS Virtual Office is the kind of business address banks and payment providers generally accept for a business account; acceptance is each institution's own decision.

Returns from marketplace and online-store sales and supplier shipments cannot be received at this address; letters only. No parcels or packages, and no mail forwarding.

Service of process and state notices never count toward the yearly allowance; IRS correspondence (including the EIN confirmation letter) and annual-report reminders do.

Questions about pricing

Is any tax or extra fee added to the prices?

No. Each plan on this page is one USD price; the state fee is shown as a separate line. What you pay is the plan price plus the state fee, which is passed through at cost with no markup. If you add Priority preparation (Rush) to Starter or choose an address service, it shows as its own line on the quote; Priority preparation (Rush) is included in Pro and adds no charge line. The first year of the LaunchUS Registered Agent service is included in the plan price.

Why is there no BOI report in the list?

Under FinCEN's 2026 rule, companies formed in the US are exempt from BOI reporting, so we do not offer it as a separate service. Details in our blog post

Why is the state fee separate?

The state sets its fee and may change it; in Wyoming the state’s card processing charge for online filing is added to the fee. We pass it through at cost with no markup, and you see it on its own line in the quote.

What do I pay in the second year?

The formation plan is a one-time fee. From the second year, the Registered Agent renewal and the optional compliance tracking are annual; the calculator shows the state’s annual fee. Calculate

Is Wyoming or Delaware cheaper?

The two states have different formation and annual fees. The calculator and the comparison guide show the amounts; the choice is yours. Wyoming or Delaware?

Is the EIN free from the IRS?

Yes. The IRS does not charge a fee to issue an EIN. What our plans include is the preparation and tracking of the SSN-free application (Form SS-4); the IRS issues the number.
