Getting started
Do I need to travel to the US?
No. Everything runs online. You answer the questions online, and your ID and address details are collected inside the form.

GuideFAQ
Short answers to the questions we hear most when founders think about forming a US company: five cards first, then more questions grouped by topic. The pictures on the cards come from the customer panel.
Yes. Wyoming and Delaware do not require LLC owners to be US citizens or residents. You can form and own an LLC from any country.
Yes, both states allow a company to be an LLC member. If the owner is a company, write to us before you order so we can check together what the filing needs in that case.
No US home address is needed. The state asks for a registered agent address, which the LaunchUS Registered Agent service provides. If your business needs its own street address, you can add the yearly US business address service.
No. Without an SSN or ITIN, the EIN is requested on Form SS-4 by fax or mail. The LaunchUS Registered Agent team prepares the form, you sign it and the IRS issues the number.
It is the IRS letter that confirms your company’s EIN: usually CP 575, sometimes 147C. Banks and payment providers ask for it; when it arrives it is added to your document vault.
No. The registered agent address is for service of process and state mail. For an address on your website, invoices or applications, look at the LaunchUS Business Address or Virtual Office service.
The state can start a process that ends with the company losing good standing or being dissolved. Keep a registered agent on record without a gap; we remind you of the renewal date.
There are three parts: the state’s yearly fee (the Wyoming annual report and license tax or the Delaware flat LLC tax), registered agent renewal from the second year and any optional services you choose. Amounts are on the pricing page; the state fee is its own line.
Yes. The state’s annual report or tax does not depend on income. For a foreign-owned single-member LLC, Form 5472 depends on reportable transactions with the owner, not on income. Ask a tax adviser about your own case.
Your panel shows the status of each step and who acts next. You get a panel notification and an email when the status changes, and every document that arrives is added to your vault.
Typical ranges from your payment, for a complete order with a verified passport: state approval 1–9 business days in Wyoming and 3–19 business days in Delaware; a no-SSN EIN 4–16 weeks in Wyoming and 4–18 weeks in Delaware. These are estimates, not promised dates; the state and the IRS set the real timing. Your dashboard shows the estimated dates for each step.
A name change is an amendment filed with the state. It is not in the panel today; write to hello@launchus.app.
No. We offer a document preparation pack for bank and payment applications (Pro); the bank decides. LaunchUS does not prepare tax returns, including Form 5472; work with a tax adviser.
The panel offers Wyoming and Delaware LLCs only. For a C-Corp, write to hello@launchus.app.
ITIN applications are not in the panel. You can write to hello@launchus.app; the difference from an EIN is on our EIN page.
If your question is not here, write to us and we will add the next answer together.
Create your account and enter your details. LaunchUS reviews them, prepares your filing and puts every document in your vault.
