LaunchUS Registered Agent

The state requires a registered agent address for every LLC. The LaunchUS Registered Agent service provides it; official letters that arrive are scanned and added to your vault.

The party named in the registered agent record and the service terms are set out in the service agreement.

What is a registered agent?

A registered agent is the person or company with a physical address in the state where the LLC is formed that accepts official notices on the company’s behalf. Wyoming and Delaware require every LLC to name one. The LaunchUS Registered Agent service provides this address; incoming mail is scanned and added to your vault.

Frequently asked

These answers explain the process; they are not advice.

These answers are process transparency, not legal, financial or tax advice. Consult your own tax adviser about your obligations.

Can I use my own address?
The state requires a physical address in that state; an address outside that state cannot be used.
Can I give this address to a bank?
No. The registered agent address is for official service of process; it is not a general business or verification address.
How long does the service run?
The first year is included in the formation plan; later years continue with an annual renewal. The amount is on the pricing page.
What happens if I stop the service?
The state requires a valid registered agent for every LLC; before stopping, the new registered agent must be reported to the state.
Can I be my own registered agent if I live outside the US?
Not without a physical address in the formation state where you can accept papers during business hours. Founders abroad therefore appoint a commercial registered agent; in your formation filing, that is the LaunchUS Registered Agent service.
Can I change my registered agent later?
Yes. The change is filed with the state (the Wyoming Secretary of State or the Delaware Division of Corporations). The new agent should be on record before the old service ends, so the company is never without a registered agent.

What we do not do

  • We do not give legal, tax or accounting advice.
  • We do not file with the state ourselves; the filing goes through the LaunchUS Registered Agent service, we prepare and track.
  • We do not issue the EIN; the IRS issues the number, we prepare and track the application. Approval and timing are not guaranteed.
  • We do not open bank, payment-provider or marketplace accounts, and we do not guarantee their approval.
  • State/government fees are not included in our service fee; they are shown separately and may change.
