What comes with your US company?

Who does what, in four steps

Every step has a named owner. Timing follows the published processing times of the state and the IRS and may change.

  1. 01You

    Answer the questions

You enter the company name, state preference and founder details; anything missing shows on your dashboard.

  2. 02LaunchUS

Surfaces gaps, checks and hands over

Our team reviews your information. The quote shows one LaunchUS service fee and the separately shown state fee; with your approval we hand the file to the LaunchUS Registered Agent team.

  3. 03Registered Agent

    Files with the state

The formation filing is submitted to the state through the LaunchUS Registered Agent service, which also provides the registered agent address and prepares the no-SSN EIN application.

  4. 04State and IRS

Approve; documents arrive in your vault

Formation approval and the EIN follow the processing times these bodies publish and may change. LaunchUS adds every incoming document to your vault and notifies you.

Customer panel

After formation, everything stays here.

Documents, the annual calendar and notifications live in one panel. Every row says who does what.

Every document in your company vault.

Formation documents, the EIN letter and scanned official mail are stored per company. Download them whenever you need.

A transparent process, in plain language.

We write down who does what and what it costs from the start. The same four principles hold from the quote screen to the vault.

  1. One service fee, the state fee shown separately.

You see a single LaunchUS service fee; the state/government filing fee sits next to it as its own line and may change.

  2. The forms are prepared and filed with the state through the LaunchUS Registered Agent service.

You only answer a short questionnaire in plain language; we surface gaps, check and hand over.

  3. Your documents live in a company vault; we track renewal and annual report dates.

We remind you of annual report and registered agent renewal dates.

  4. Preparation of the no-SSN EIN application is part of the package; the process and timing expectations are written down up front.

We prepare and track the application; you see its status in your panel.

The price is what you see on the quote screen.

Two main lines: the LaunchUS service fee and the separately shown state fee. If the state fee changes, the quote is renewed before payment.

The questions founders ask most

These answers explain the process; they are not advice.

All questions

These answers are process transparency, not legal, financial or tax advice. Consult your own tax adviser about your obligations.

Which state: Wyoming or Delaware?
We start with Wyoming and Delaware LLCs. You decide. We set out the differences as a decision framework and prepare for the state you choose.
How much does it cost?
The quote shows two main lines: the LaunchUS service fee (the LaunchUS Registered Agent first year included) and the separately shown state/government filing fee (an official fee, passed through at cost). One USD price; the state fee is shown as a separate line. The state fee may change; if it does, the quote is refreshed before payment. You see the amount on the quote screen.
How do I get an EIN without an SSN?
The LaunchUS Registered Agent team prepares your no-SSN EIN application with form SS-4, LaunchUS tracks it and shows the status in your panel. Timing follows the IRS’s published processing times and may change.
How long does it take?
Typical ranges from your payment, for a complete order with a verified passport: state approval 1–9 business days in Wyoming and 3–19 business days in Delaware; a no-SSN EIN 4–16 weeks in Wyoming and 4–18 weeks in Delaware. These are estimates from typical processing times, not promised dates: the state and the IRS set the real timing, which may change. Your dashboard shows each step’s estimated dates, status and next owner.
Can I give the registered agent address to a bank or marketplace?
No. The registered agent address is for official notices; it is not a general business or verification address. We provide a document readiness pack for bank and payment applications; approval depends on the institution’s assessment.
Can I open an LLC if I’m not a US citizen?
Yes. Neither Wyoming nor Delaware requires LLC owners or managers to be US citizens or residents, so you can form and own an LLC from anywhere. You need a registered agent with an address in the formation state, which LaunchUS Registered Agent provides, and, without an SSN, an EIN application on Form SS-4. Glossary of terms
Which state is best for an LLC if I live outside the US?
There is no single best state; it depends on your plans. Most founders abroad compare Wyoming (a lower yearly state cost and a simple annual report) and Delaware (law that investors know, a flat yearly LLC tax). LaunchUS forms LLCs in these two states only, and you decide. Wyoming or Delaware?

What we do not do

  • We do not give legal, tax or accounting advice.
  • We do not file with the state ourselves; the filing goes through the LaunchUS Registered Agent service, we prepare and track.
  • We do not issue the EIN; the IRS issues the number, we prepare and track the application. Approval and timing are not guaranteed.
  • We do not open bank, payment-provider or marketplace accounts, and we do not guarantee their approval.
  • State/government fees are not included in our service fee; they are shown separately and may change.
